Asal Usul Danau Toba

He immediately went out to get firewood from the ground under his house. Then, with a few pieces of firewood he climbed back into the house and went straight to the kitchen.

By the time he reached the kitchen, he was surprised at all because the big fish was not there anymore. But in the place of the fish that was placed before seemed a few pieces of gold. Startled and astonished at the strange circumstances, he left the kitchen and entered the room.

He had never seen such a beautiful woman though formerly he had wandered far into the various countries.

Because it was night, the woman asked him to turn on the lights. After he lit the lamp, he invited her to accompany her to the kitchen because she wanted to cook rice for them. While waiting for the rice was cooked, the woman told that he was an incarnation of the great fish that he had gained when fishing in the river. Then explained that some pieces of gold  in the kitchen were her incarnation scales. When receiving, the father was feeling very hungry because the rice was delivered late. Therefore, the father became very angry when he saw the rice given to him was just the remains. Growing anger when his son admitted that it was him who took most of the rice. The father's patience was lost and he hit his son, saying: "insolent and ungrateful children. Really you were the offspring of women of fish! "

Sobbing, the boy ran home to his mother. To his mother, he complained that his father had beaten him . All of the words spoken came out of his mouth to him anyway. Hearing her son's story, the mother was so sad, especially because her husband had violated his oath to slur words he spoke to his son. The mother told him to immediately go up the hill located not so far from their homes and climb the tallest tree located at the top of the hill. Without asking again, the child immediately took his mother's command. He ran toward the hill and climbed it up.

Looking her son had almost reached the top of the trees on the hill, the mother ran into the river not so far from her home. When she arrived on the banks of the river, a thunder and lightning boomed. A moment later she jumped into the river and suddenly turned into a big fish. At the same time, the river was a big flood and fell too heavy downpours. Some time later, the river was already overflowing everywhere and the valley where the river flowed was full of water. Mr. Toba could not save himself, he drowned into a pool of water. Over time, it was increasingly widespread water-logging and turned into a huge lake.
